We are excited to add a Lot Porter to our expanding team at Camping World. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our lot by handling a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, movement, and presentation of RV units. As a Lot Porter, you will be responsible for parking and moving RVs efficiently to keep our inventory organized and accessible for customers and sales staff. This role requires attention to detail as you will also install and remove window prices, maintain cleanliness around the lot, and conduct lot washes to uphold a professional environment.
Your duties will extend to writing work orders, tracking any problems with the units, and ensuring all vehicles are in proper working order. Maintaining the security and safety of our RV units and equipment is essential, along with performing inventory checks on a weekly basis. The Lot Porter must be proactive in keeping the lot safe, clean, and welcoming for both customers and fellow employees, adhering to safety standards and environmental conditions. This is a hands-on position that involves physical activity such as lifting, moving, and operating machinery like yard tractors, forklifts, and RVs. It also entails knowledge of operating slide-outs and generators.
Camping World offers a full-time role with hourly pay ranging from $14.00 to $20.33, reflecting a commitment to competitive compensation.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Towing experience preferred
 - Ability to use yard tractor and/or forklift
 - Ability to drive an RV
 - Experience using generators and operating slide-outs
 - Ability to repair small items and identify problem units
 - Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
 - May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices
 - Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
 - Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
 - Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness
