The employment type is permanent part-time, offering a first-shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with an hourly pay rate of $24.00. 
The Diesel Truck Lot Porter at Ryder plays a crucial role in maintaining the readiness and presentation of diesel trucks and trailer equipment. This position is responsible for exercising trucks to ensure they are roadworthy, preparing customer units for delivery without issues, and managing the yard to keep it orderly and efficient. The role includes transporting equipment within the yard, performing light mechanical tasks such as jump starts and battery replacements, and coordinating repairs with local Ryder shops or third-party service providers. The Porter's duties also extend to ensuring equipment cleanliness and submitting weekly inspection data. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications, with a CDL preferred or the ability to obtain one. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions is an essential part of the job.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - One (1) year or more mechanical and/or customer service experience required
 - Knowledge of truck and trailer equipment, advanced required
 - Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
 - CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL
 - Ability to work in an outside environment/elements for acceptance of units, exercising units, lot management and customer pick ups
 - Customer focus and support
