With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, the company employs skilled security professionals who ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a secure environment for employees and visitors alike. The role is that of a Security Officer stationed at an airport, responsible for various essential security functions scheduled flexibly across part-time shifts from Monday to Sunday. This dynamic position demands vigilance, strong ethical conduct, and excellent communication skills. The Security Officer's duties include screening visitors, couriers, contractors, and passengers for security clearance before they enter secure areas or board aircraft. This includes performing random employee body scans, bag checks, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) procedures to prevent unauthorized or dangerous items from entering restricted zones. Patrolling the premises is another core responsibility, along with documenting security-related inquiries raised by employees and the general public. The Security Officer is also tasked with incident reporting, particularly for criminal or suspicious activities affecting company assets, personnel, or operations. Clear and concise report writing is essential to ensure management is promptly informed for appropriate incident resolution. Inventory management of keys, radios, and other security equipment is also part of the job, ensuring proper issuance and accountability. This role requires the ability to work both independently and within a team, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. The work environment involves exposure to various weather conditions due to outdoor patrolling duties and necessitates physical demands such as lifting up to 70 pounds and the ability to perform activities like walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and stooping regularly. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime is critical to meet shifting client needs. The position requires valid authorization to work in the United States, alongside passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check covering up to 10 years. Security licensing in the form of a valid California Security Guard Card and completion of Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) training, if needed, are mandatory. The company offers attractive benefits including flight privileges after 30 days, weekly pay with daily access to earned wages, a 401k plan, and wellness programs, highlighting its commitment to employee welfare. Preferred applicants will have a minimum of one year of relevant experience, but the company welcomes open-minded candidates ready to contribute to a detail-oriented team. The hiring process values candidates who demonstrate strong work ethics, customer service skills, organizational aptitude, and proficiency in handling security principles and practices, alongside the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and via radio equipment. This opportunity offers a rewarding career for those dedicated to upholding security standards within a fast-paced airport environment.
