The role of VP/Director of Safety at Serve Robotics is a key leadership position that supports the company’s growth by prioritizing safety as a foundational principle. This role involves the development and execution of comprehensive safety strategies for the autonomous delivery fleet and related operations. Reporting to senior leadership, the VP/Director of Safety will lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and operations departments as well as interface with regulatory bodies and industry partners. Responsibilities include managing risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and establishing industry-leading safety protocols to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. In addition, the role is accountable for building and leading a safety-focused team to address critical areas such as Trust & Safety. With compensation ranging from 190,000 to 250,000 USD, Serve Robotics offers a compelling opportunity to influence the future of urban logistics and autonomous vehicle safety. The successful candidate will have a strong background in safety engineering within regulated industries and a passion for advancing autonomous vehicle technology securely and responsibly.
                - BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
 - At least 8 years of experience in automotive, transportation, aerospace, robotics or other safety-focused or regulated industries
 - Deep technical expertise in safety engineering
 - Experience with autonomous technology
 - Excellent communication skills
 - Strong problem-solving abilities
 - Experience with data analysis
 - Knowledge of risk management and reliability functions
