The Line Service Technician (LST) role at Modern Aviation is integral to the company's operational success. This position is responsible for attending to all transient aircraft service needs and supporting jet owners, guests, and crews with a meticulous approach to aircraft handling and ground service. The primary duties revolve around technical services such as fueling, towing, parking, and basic cleaning of aircraft. However, the role extends beyond technical tasks, emphasizing exceptional customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for every arriving and departing aircraft. The LST operates a variety of ground support equipment, assists passengers and flight crews, and maintains ramp safety awareness at all times. This position requires a proactive individual with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure while adhering to company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations. The LST must work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient ramp environment. Additionally, the role involves coordinating aircraft and ramp activities during shifts, delegating tasks to qualified personnel when necessary, and supporting training efforts for new employees. The position also includes maintaining accurate shift reports and paperwork, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and fostering a positive image of Modern Aviation among team members, customers, and the community. Candidates for this role should be physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods, comfortable working in various weather conditions, and able to safely handle equipment and materials up to 75 pounds.
