We are currently seeking a full-time skilled Line Cook to join our esteemed kitchen team. The Line Cook will play an integral role in ensuring the successful preparation and presentation of all menu items, adhering to recipes and standards set by the executive chef and management. This role requires a strong understanding of various cooking techniques including sautéing, grilling, poaching, and plating, along with a knowledge of proper handling, cooling, and storing practices compliant with health department regulations. We offer competitive hourly wages ranging from $22 to $27, commensurate with experience, plus a percentage of service charge, providing a pathway to meaningful earnings. • Reliable transportation to and from work
• Knowledge of and ability to prepare all food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
• Ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely
• Must have knives and other small hand tools as part of the uniform
• Proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules
• Knowledge of proper cooking techniques including making stock, sauces, sautéing, grilling, poaching, and plating
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
• Manage time effectively and work well in a team environment
• Excellent customer relations, sales, and communication skills
