The Line Cook role at PAHGCC is a vital member of the back-of-house culinary team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This position is ideal for skilled and motivated culinary professionals who excel in accurately and efficiently preparing a variety of hot foods, including meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other dishes. The role demands meticulous attention to detail in portioning, prepping ingredients, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet the club’s high presentation standards. Alongside culinary duties, the Line Cook is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, ensuring all equipment and food preparation areas comply with state, county, and company health and safety regulations.
Line Cooks at PAHGCC play a collaborative role, coordinating food orders among various stations and servers, assisting with banquet presentations, and supporting kitchen operations wherever needed. The position requires proficiency in various cooking techniques such as charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting, and par-cooking. Knowledge of quality standards for fresh ingredients and the proper use of herbs and spices is essential. The cook is also expected to assist in buffet preparations, breakdown, and ensure all food items follow club-standard recipes and banquet event specifications.
This temporary, hourly, non-exempt position offers compensation from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour with the potential to transition into full-time employment. Candidates should be able to work various shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, and have the flexibility to work overtime as required. Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
