The role of a Line Cook at Torchy's is central to their kitchen operations. They are entrusted with specific stations—Fry, Grill, Sauté, Steam, and Taco—each requiring mastery and dedication. As a Fry Cook, you will ensure all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor. The Grill Cook manages the grill station, cooking proteins and taco ingredients to the correct temperature. The Sauté Cook handles various ingredients to create flavorful dishes, while the Steam Cook optimizes steam equipment for perfectly textured dishes. Lastly, the Taco station involves assembling and building each taco order to meet high standards and guest expectations.
Line Cooks at Torchy's also perform a variety of essential kitchen tasks such as preparing ingredients according to Torchy's recipes and standards, monitoring quality and presentation to ensure every dish meets their Damn Good standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation to uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines, collaborating closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure timely and accurate food preparation, managing inventory by storing and organizing ingredients, and operating efficiently during busy periods to meet guest demand without compromising quality.
