The Line Cook position is based at the Pueblo Convention Center in Pueblo, CO, offering an hourly pay rate ranging from $15.00 to $17.00. This role is essential in ensuring that guests at the venue receive high-quality, fresh food products prepared in a timely manner. As a Line Cook, you will be trained and expected to prepare both hot and cold foods following strict company recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and quality. This role often involves direct interaction with the public, particularly in buffet line areas where slicing meats or preparing made-to-order dishes is required, necessitating excellent customer service skills. The Line Cook will work as part of a team to deliver efficient service, maintain sanitation and health standards, and uphold safety protocols within the kitchen. This role demands reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events consistent with business needs. The position supports the executive and sous chef by assisting with menu planning and accurately estimating food consumption for events, ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

                - Previous cook or prep cook experience
 - Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife
 - Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests clearly and respectfully
 - Ability to speak, read and write in English
 - Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
 - Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
