The role of Line Cook, Wok Cook, Cook, Chef De Partie, or Station Chef at P.F. Chang's is a critical position within the kitchen team, responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared to exacting standards and company specifications. This full-time or part-time hourly role offers competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience. Those employed in this capacity will be tasked with preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and safety protocols, plating prepared foods as directed by the chef, and managing the setup, operation, break down, and cleaning of kitchen equipment. Additionally, team members may assist with dishwashing, floor maintenance, equipment cleaning, and utensil sanitization, all while upholding the high sanitation and food safety standards that P.F. Chang's is known for. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for food and a keen eye for detail, who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. While previous experience is not required, as comprehensive paid on-the-job training is provided, successful candidates must possess a Food Handler’s Card where applicable or be willing to obtain one with support from the company. They must also demonstrate excellent customer service skills, the ability to learn menu items and recipes, and a familiarity with the cleaning chemicals used within the restaurant. This role requires the physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform movements such as bending, reaching, and twisting.
