This Full-Time Line Cook position at Blackberry Farm located in Walland, TN, offers hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $25.00 and includes opportunities for both AM and PM shifts across three distinct restaurants: The Barn, The Dogwood, and The Main House. The role requires proficiency in all aspects of food preparation and execution, following the exact specifications of the establishment, chef, and guests. Line Cooks are responsible for the final presentation of dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and a smooth operational flow in the kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and culinary techniques including knife skills, meat fabrication, sauce making, and food preparation tasks such as vinaigrettes and stocks. Essential duties involve food preparation as assigned by Sous Chefs, maintaining cleanliness of workstations, assisting with inventory deliveries, and coordinating multi-day production to ensure seamless transitions in the kitchen. Working in a professional kitchen environment demands the ability to work well within a team, maintain an organized and sanitary station, taste food for quality assurance, and operate efficiently at a steady or accelerated pace as needed.
Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, standing for extended periods, operating vehicles or golf carts safely, and working outdoors in various weather conditions when required. Basic math skills and sound judgment are critical to making informed decisions aligned with company goals.
