Freedom Village is currently hiring a full-time Line Cook to join its culinary team, a critical role that directly impacts residents' dining experiences across four diverse dining venues, including indoor fine dining and the Outdoor Garden Cafe and Bistro. This position offers a salary range of $21 to $24 per hour based on experience, along with an attractive sign-on bonus of $1,000, distributed in stages during employment milestones. The Line Cook position involves preparing food promptly and accurately according to well-established recipes, maintaining stringent food safety and sanitation standards, and working collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a high-quality dining experience throughout the day. Candidates with at least two years of food service experience in a restaurant, hospital, or senior living environment are preferred. Knowledge of food service production, state and federal regulations, and a commitment to quality and excellent dining service are essential. The job schedule is from 9:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., including weekends, highlighting the importance of reliability and flexibility in this role.
