This job opportunity is for a Pasta Cook and Entree Cook position, offering an hourly salary ranging from $17.00 to $21.00. This role is vital in transforming premium ingredients into exquisite Italian dishes, following the guidance and recipes provided by experienced Corporate Chefs, CDC (Chef de Cuisine), Sous Chefs, and General Managers. Working in an energetic, fast-paced environment, the Pasta Cook and Entree Cook will be responsible for preparing and plating a variety of dishes while ensuring consistency, presentation quality, and adherence to health standards. The position demands a strong passion for culinary arts, particularly Italian cuisine, and the ability to manage multiple cooking methods and station responsibilities efficiently.
The Pasta Cook part of the role emphasizes expertise with handmade pasta from various regions of Italy, creativity in menu development, and maintaining the highest quality standards. This includes training and mentoring team members, adhering closely to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications while ensuring workstations are clean and well-stocked.
Meanwhile, the Entree Cook focuses on high-quality food preparation and portioning, ensuring orders meet specific guest requests, including accommodating special dietary needs and cooking meats to precise temperatures such as rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, and well done. This role also requires thorough understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment, typically gained through experience in full-service restaurant settings.
