Columbia, MD, USA, MD Full-Time $19 - $22
Hello Betty Bethesda is a distinguished dining establishment situated at Pike and Rose, embraced by the vibrant and sophisticated community of North Bethesda. This 3000-square-foot restaurant is located on the third floor of the Canopy by Hilton Hotel at 940 Rose Avenue, Bethesda. It offers a seating capacity of 138, which includes a 14-seat private dining room and a unique 40-foot Delta Deadrise boat bar on the patio with 23 seats. The restaurant is headed by the acclaimed Brandon Sumblin, a six-time Food Network winner, who leads the kitchen with a strong passion to inspire and reveal the beauty of Hello Betty cuisine. Under Brandon's leadership, the restaurant focuses on culinary innovation and delivering an exceptional dining experience that combines creativity, quality, and authenticity. Hello Betty Bethesda operates under the aegis of Sage Restaurant Concepts, a company known for impacting lives through hospitality. Sage's vision is to be a restaurant company with a soul, striving consistently to craft exceptional dining experiences that build lasting bonds with guests, enrich the surrounding community, and empower their team members. This ethos is deeply embedded into Hello Betty Bethesda's daily operations, manifesting in every dish served and every interaction with guests. With this foundation, Hello Betty sets itself apart as not just a restaurant but a community hub where excellence and soul converge. The role available is a full-time kitchen position responsible for ensuring proper front-line service through quality control, training line cooks, and maintaining proper sanitation standards. This role is integral to the success of the kitchen’s daily operations, requiring meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership, and hands-on culinary skills. The responsibilities include monitoring food preparation to ensure consistent adherence to recipe cards, overseeing the kitchen's setup before meal functions to maximize efficiency, and maintaining strict equipment maintenance and cleanliness policies. Candidates will be engaged in preparing food items following production and portion standards, managing inventory rotation based on standard operating procedures, and assisting in controlling food costs by minimizing waste and loss. The individual will also help in stocking buffets, ensuring all prepared items are dated and stored correctly, and reporting any shortages or out-of-stock ingredients promptly. Given the high-paced environment and physical demands of the kitchen, the role requires stamina and the ability to handle tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting the skill level and responsibility requirements. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package starting the first month following or coinciding with the date of hire. Benefits include medical plan options, dental and vision insurance, life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, short and long-term disability, critical illness coverage, vacation, ten holidays per year, adoption and educational assistance, discounts at hotels and restaurants, and a 401(k) plan with company matching after 60 days. Working at Hello Betty Bethesda means becoming part of a team passionate about hospitality excellence, culinary creativity, and community connection. It invites individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and who want to contribute their skills to a company that values empowerment, quality, and guest satisfaction. This role is more than a job; it's an opportunity to join a culinary journey led by a celebrity chef within a company dedicated to meaningful hospitality experiences.
