The role of Cook I/Chef de Partie at La Bahia Hotel & Spa is a vital position within our culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional to apply advanced culinary skills and demonstrate expertise in managing one or more kitchen stations, such as sauté, grill, or pastry stations, while ensuring flawless execution of all dishes served. The successful candidate will be responsible for mastering their assigned area, rigorously maintaining the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency required by the hotel's cuisine. This position demands working efficiently under pressure, mentoring junior cooks, and embodying the impeccable standards of service that our establishment prides itself on, including those inspired by Forbes accolades. Starting from 7/28/2025, this position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where the culinary team’s craftsmanship directly enhances the guest experience. The candidate will be expected to maintain proper kitchen protocols, support inventory control, and collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel, helping ensure the seamless operation of our beachfront property’s kitchen. - high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of culinary experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen
- proficiency in classical cooking techniques
- ability to manage multiple kitchen stations
- excellent knife skills

- physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
