Menzies Aviation is currently seeking Lead Ramp Agents to join their dynamic team. The role of Lead Ramp Agent is critical in overseeing the safe and efficient handling of cargo and baggage operations on airport ramps. As a Lead Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the movement of cargo and baggage from the outbound bagroom, on and off aircraft, and transporting them between aircraft, terminals, and cargo facilities. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will operate motorized equipment and ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and security guidelines set by governmental agencies. You are expected to accurately read and interpret aircraft weight and balance load sheets, hazardous material labels, and cargo manifests to guarantee that all flights are loaded safely and efficiently. The Lead Ramp Agent is also responsible for ensuring load integrity and handling the safe dispatch of assigned flights. This role demands physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions, as ramp operations are often exposed to outdoor environments. • Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess valid US driver’s license
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Must have authorization to work in the USA
