The Sous Chef in Training role at White Lodging is an exceptional opportunity for culinary professionals eager to grow within a dynamic and supportive food and beverage environment. This position involves hands-on training to prepare for the responsibilities of a Sous Chef, allowing the individual to learn and practice the full scope of duties associated with the role. In this capacity, the Sous Chef in Training will mentor and collaborate with Entry and Senior Line Cooks, apprentices, and stewards, managing daily food preparation and production within the designated food outlet. Adhering to company procedures as well as health department and federal regulations is a critical component of the position, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The role also includes responsibilities related to maintaining food and labor costs, checking the freshness of ingredients, and ensuring all recipes and portion control standards are strictly followed.
