The Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty holds a vital role responsible for the efficiency and quality of guest transactions at the cashwrap station while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics. This position requires an individual experienced in cashiering, who not only manages transactions but also plays a pivotal role in training new cashiers and cross-training associates in cashier operations. The Lead Cashier acts as a leader among peers, driving loyalty results through enhancing sales, improving guest experience, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Core responsibilities include supporting the leadership team with daily operational tasks such as opening and closing registers, conducting inspections, and managing cashier communications. Ideal candidates bring at least two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience, with proven skills in delegation, multitasking, problem-solving, and a demonstrated passion for guest service and sales. Proficiency with technology, such as point of sale systems and Apple devices, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. The role requires flexibility to work varying schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the candidate must be at least 18 years old.

                - High school diploma is preferred
 - 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
 - Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
 - Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling
 - Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service
 - Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
 - Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
 - Excellent written and verbal communication
