The role of Lead Cashier at ABM is a pivotal position that blends operational accuracy, leadership, and customer service excellence. As the Lead Cashier, the individual is accountable for overseeing all cash handling and electronic transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the handling of cash drawers and Point of Sale (POS) systems. This hourly role offers a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour, with specific offers varying based on candidates’ experience, skills, geographic location, and alignment with market data. ABM provides on-the-job training, making it accessible to candidates without formal educational credentials or prior experience, although one year of prior customer service experience is preferred.
Key responsibilities for this position include overseeing cashier workflows, accepting and reconciling cash transactions, training new associates on POS operations, conducting cash drawer audits with prior shift leads, and ensuring continuous support to cashiers in managing cash drops and change requirements. Additionally, the Lead Cashier provides frontline customer service, prepares for subsequent shifts with money audits and supply checks, and maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety within the facility.
