The Lead Shuttle Driver role at ABM is a key operational position responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation services within the company’s parking and shuttle operations. This role involves training, coaching, and dispatching other shuttle drivers to maintain optimum service quality. The shift for this role is Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 11 PM, offering a wage of $15.44 per hour. The Lead Shuttle Driver is tasked with picking up and dropping off guests at designated stops along specified routes, facilitating smooth transit between parking lots and key locations. Maintaining the shuttle equipment in optimal operational and aesthetic condition is another critical responsibility, ensuring that vehicles are safe and presentable at all times.
This role requires collaboration with other operations areas such as parking, guest safety and service, food and beverage support, and general maintenance tasks like emptying garbage. The Lead Shuttle Driver must be highly flexible and willing to perform all assigned duties to support the broader operational team. Compliance is crucial to this role, with responsibilities including adherence to policies around carpooling, maverick parking, and uphill parking among others. The position also involves maintaining awareness of special events and groups that may affect normal shuttle operations, ensuring communication and operational adjustments are made proactively.
In addition, the Lead Shuttle Driver is responsible for upholding sustainability practices, including waste diversion and efficiency. Safety and regulatory compliance are paramount, with duties to meet all requirements related to California Highway Patrol (CHP), Commercial Transport Regulations, Department of Transportation (DOT), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. The successful candidate will be proactive in reporting safety issues, accidents, or incidents and will rigorously follow safety policies and equipment usage guidelines to protect themselves, co-workers, and guests. Driving must always comply with laws and airport policies to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
