The Operations Generalist role at Petco focuses on maintaining efficient and effective operations within a Pet Care Center to meet the needs of guests and their pets. This position is vital in executing merchandising and inventory strategies to ensure that the Pet Care Center is well-stocked, organized, and presented beautifully to create an inviting atmosphere for customers. Duties include working the truck to receive merchandise, stocking shelves, cleaning the Pet Care Center, operating the cash register, and engaging with guests to provide exceptional experiences.
The ideal candidate exhibits a passion for animal welfare, health, and proper care combined with a positive and collaborative spirit to support the Pet Care Center team. They are proficient with Petco’s selling model, demonstrate strong communication skills, and contribute to a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and safety while adhering to operational policies and procedures.
