We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Field Service Technician to join our inclusive and innovative team in Santa Clarita, CA. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and credentials, and includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer match, progressive vacation policies, paid parental leave, and more. As a Field Service Technician at Montrose, you will play a critical role in implementing the company's cutting-edge water and vapor treatment technologies in the field. You will be responsible for supporting operations and pilot demonstration units, collaborating closely with Project Managers to review project scopes, roles, responsibilities, and safety protocols. Your work will involve applying environmental engineering principles to modify, test, and operate equipment used for preventing, controlling, and remediating environmental issues including waste treatment and site cleanup. This position requires leading field deployments of Montrose's advanced ECT2 systems, with travel commitments of up to 75%, including mobilization, installation, commissioning, ongoing operation, and demobilization activities. You will operate and maintain various environmental treatment equipment, such as pumps, filters, tanks, pressure vessels, and related process units. A solid understanding of system hydraulics, mechanical operations, control instrumentation, and electrical schemes is essential for success. In your daily activities, you will conduct sampling using diverse methods and operate monitoring devices like PID/FID analyzers, pH meters, turbidity sensors, and gas detectors. Accurate documentation, including field data report preparation and chain-of-custody compliance for laboratory samples, will be a key responsibility. Upholding safety standards by following company rules and OSHA regulations, as well as representing Montrose professionally on client sites, are critical to this role.
