The Kitchen Manager at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema plays a pivotal role as part of the venue leadership team, spearheading kitchen operations to ensure optimum performance and profitability. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, plus an incentive bonus based on performance, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role. Located at 3519 N Clark St Ste C301 in Chicago, Illinois, the Kitchen Manager is entrusted with developing culinary talent, maximizing food quality, and efficiently managing all aspects of inventory, labor, safety, and sanitation.
The Kitchen Manager’s primary mission is threefold: to grow revenue and control costs, optimize the guest experience, and lead the kitchen team effectively. This includes monitoring inventory levels and maintaining accurate ordering systems, developing food cost acumen among hourly team members, and maintaining staffing levels aligned with labor budgets.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - minimum 3 years experience in high volume culinary or restaurant management
 - ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety credential
 - ability to work at least 45 hours per week including weekends and holidays
 - strong communication skills
 - proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office and G-Suite
 - physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
