With a legacy of culinary excellence, Whitsons Culinary Group operates extensive kitchen and production facilities that serve thousands of meals daily across various settings, including schools, hospitals, corporate cafeterias, and more. Our commitment is not just about producing food but about improving life one meal at a time by focusing on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As a Kitchen Manager at Whitsons Culinary Group, you will take on a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a high-volume culinary manufacturing environment. This position is perfect for professionals with a passion for kitchen operations and the skill to lead large-scale production efficiently. Your role will encompass managing daily kitchen production processes, including running cook/chill lines, monitoring labor and production schedules, and ensuring that all meals prepared meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for optimizing workflow to maintain fast production rates while minimizing waste and downtime. This role demands strong technical know-how as you will be working hands-on with sophisticated kitchen equipment such as Lyco Cookers, Blentech Systems, and Rovema pouch fillers. Managing these tools effectively will be critical to maintaining product consistency and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will develop, coordinate, and optimize production schedules to meet changing demands while sustaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. A key aspect of the Kitchen Manager role is workforce development. You will mentor, motivate, and guide kitchen staff to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring staff engagement and professional growth, directly impacting the quality of every meal served. Collaborating closely with the culinary innovation team, you will help translate new recipes into scalable production processes, ensuring that product textures and flavors remain consistent batch after batch. Food safety and compliance with safety quality food (SQF) protocols are paramount, and you will champion these standards across all operations. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to customer service, efficiency, and inventory accuracy will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities to uphold the high standards that Whitsons Culinary Group is known for. The position offers a competitive salary starting at $85,000 plus, depending on experience, and is designed for candidates ready to take on leadership challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Join a purpose-driven company that values continuous improvement, care for people, and operational excellence.
