The Lunch Program/Kitchen Aide position entails assisting the Kitchen Manager in the preparation and service of meals during the school day. This role is designed to support the daily operations of the kitchen by performing a variety of essential tasks such as washing, chopping, and peeling food items, preparing meals for on-site service, and ensuring the proper handling and storage of all food products. In addition to food preparation, the Kitchen Aide is responsible for routine kitchen duties including dishwashing, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to health and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food allergens and dietary restrictions are respected. The Kitchen Aide plays an important role in positively interacting with students, staff, and parents, maintaining respectful and effective communication. This position also entails occasional substitution for the Kitchen Manager when necessary, which highlights the trust placed in this role to uphold kitchen operations independently when required. This is a part-time position with working hours from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 5 hours per day. The hourly pay rate is $21.03, with the schedule subject to adjustments based on the school calendar, weather conditions, and operational needs.
