We are currently hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Barista positions located at Christus Santa Rosa at San Marcos, Texas. The positions offer varying schedules, primarily between 6:30 am and 2:30 pm, with weekend work required. The pay range for this role is from $15.00 to $19.00 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to fairly compensating its employees. The Barista role is essential to enhancing the healthcare environment by providing excellent coffee and related beverage services at the Christus Santa Rosa facility. Baristas at Morrison Healthcare are trained to prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks and other food and beverage items, following HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality standards. This role involves direct interaction with customers and coworkers, requiring a friendly and courteous demeanor. Baristas will be expected to handle cash and charge payments, maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, and ensure proper presentation and portion control of all items served. Additional responsibilities include accurately entering orders into the POS system, replenishing supplies, cleaning equipment before and after shifts, and assisting customers with menu knowledge and purchasing decisions. The role requires a complete understanding of the daily menu and the ability to serve food neatly and attractively. Customer satisfaction and efficiency are priorities, and baristas are encouraged to relay any customer concerns to supervisors promptly. Morrison Healthcare provides on-site training for this position, allowing those with little to no prior barista experience to develop the necessary skills to excel.
