The Entertainment Department of this dynamic organization is seeking a dedicated and skilled Stage Technician to join their team. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the department's wide range of shows and events by assisting with the building and installation of sound systems, lighting, scenic elements, props, costumes, and other essential components necessary for delivering outstanding entertainment experiences. The company is committed to creating a safe and efficient working environment, emphasizing the importance of safety and technical aptitude in this role. The Stage Technician also supports daily park operations through tasks that include delivering and setting up tables, chairs, portable canopies, and A-frames to ensure smooth event execution. This employment opportunity offers a pay rate of $20.00 per hour and falls under the agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO, District Lodge No. 947, highlighting the structured and regulated nature of the position, as well as a commitment to fair labor practices. Candidates should be prepared for multiple interviews and possess a readiness to work under varying shifts, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
The Stage Technician reports directly to the Technical Supervisors and Senior Technical Supervisors while also liaising with Entertainment Full-Time Supervisors. This collaborative role requires the ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards of guest service and operational excellence. The role demands proficiency in technical theatre, including live event production elements such as sound mixing, theatrical lighting, scenic carpentry, and general technical troubleshooting. In addition to technical skills, the position requires the operation and training in the use of large vehicles and heavy equipment, enhancing the technician’s versatility and value to the team. This role's physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and the ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds independently, with support for heavier loads. The working environment can include exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noises, and heights, necessitating resilience and safety-conscious practices.
