The role of General Manager at Einstein Bros. Bagels is a rewarding and challenging position that requires overseeing all aspects of store operations with a "treat it like you own it" philosophy. General Managers play a vital role in ensuring that stores operate smoothly, starting their day early at 4 am to prepare the first bake and open the store. Throughout the day, GMs maintain audit readiness, manage catering, mobile, and in-store orders, and ensure that customers have an exceptional experience. They support their teams by working hands-on during busy breakfast and lunch rushes, managing breaks, and driving strong customer satisfaction. After closing the store at 2 pm, General Managers handle closing duties, prep for the next day, manage inventory, scheduling, and banking deposits, all while effectively managing their time to complete administrative tasks. Comprehensive training of five weeks equips new GMs with the skills needed to succeed. Candidates with 1-3 years of experience in general or assistant general management within a restaurant setting are preferred. This position requires hands-on leadership, the ability to motivate and inspire teams, and practical knowledge of financial management including food cost and labor targets. Recruiting and developing talent is also a key responsibility. This role pays a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $62,000 with opportunities for quarterly bonuses, excellent benefits, and career growth potential.
