As a Manager I, you will play a critical role in assisting branch management in the tactical execution of day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the restaurant with the highest standards of cleanliness, readiness, and staffing. The Manager I is actively involved in staffing functions including participating in interviews, supporting hiring decisions, and recommending promotions or terminations to the General Manager. Commitment to enforcing mandated rest breaks and meal periods for associates is also key. Further responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of the restaurant's display areas, ensuring proper stock levels and operational equipment, and handling cash transactions with high integrity in compliance with HMSHost's cash handling policies. A commitment to wellness and safety is paramount, with the Manager I responsible for monitoring safety protocols, reporting concerns, and delivering health and safety training in accordance with company guidelines.
