The Floor Manager position is a vital role within our vibrant restaurant environment. The Floor Manager directly supports the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Restaurant Manager by overseeing daily operations on the restaurant floor. This position requires an individual who can simultaneously manage staff relations, resolve guest concerns, and ensure all closing procedures are completed accurately. The Floor Manager takes ownership of the front-of-house team, maintaining a strong presence in the dining area and ensuring guests receive top-tier service from entry to exit.
This role includes handling employee performance through coaching, recognition, and corrective actions, ensuring team members perform at their best while following company standards. In addition to employee management, the Floor Manager manages administrative tasks such as entering daily logs, reconciling cash, and overseeing side work completion. They work closely with other department managers, like the Beverage Manager, to coordinate the movement of beverage products and assist in maintaining stock levels, such as managing linen par levels.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in restaurant operations, including experience in roles such as server, busser, food runner, bartender, or host. This hands-on experience enables the Floor Manager to train and mentor staff effectively, helping maintain consistency in service standards. Having knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail preparation is advantageous and will enable the manager to support staff and enhance the guest experience more comprehensively.
