The role of Line Cook within the Food & Beverage - Back of House (BOH) department is integral to maintaining these high standards. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality food items in a fast-paced kitchen setting. This non-exempt position requires a strong work ethic, excellent teamwork skills, and a deep understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen safety. The Line Cook plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day kitchen operations including menu preparation and development, inventory management, and equipment maintenance reporting. Moreover, the role includes assisting in training and supporting fellow kitchen staff while maintaining cleanliness and organization that complies with health regulations. The position demands someone who thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences that align with Dormie Network's brand of hospitality. - High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Two years previous experience in food preparation and cooking
- Solid understanding of safe food handling and kitchen operations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
- Ability to work independently in absence of supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and stressful environments
