The Catering and Events Manager at Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing social and group events at the property. This role involves overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution to ensure seamless coordination and customer satisfaction. The manager is responsible for negotiating business proposals and contracts, creatively designing menus and events to optimize revenue, and maintaining strong relationships with both corporate and social clients. The position demands meticulous event documentation and close collaboration with sales teams, hotel departments, and customers to deliver consistent, high-quality service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event stages. Key responsibilities also include upselling and enhancing event offerings, serving as the primary client contact on property, and resolving conflicts while ensuring the smooth transition between sales and service teams. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This is a full-time position ideally suited for candidates with at least one year of event planning experience and a team-oriented yet self-driven approach. Knowledge of hotel or resort event operations, along with familiarity with industry tools such as Social Tables and Delphi.fdc, would be advantageous.
