The role of Freight Forwarder, Air Import, in Phoenix, AZ, falls under the division of Air & Sea US and is a full-time position. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and effective importation of goods by air, encompassing responsibilities such as customs clearance, shipment tracking, and coordination with various logistics partners including airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies. The Freight Forwarder manages the entire process from the arrival of goods at the port of entry to their final delivery destination, maintaining close communication with customers and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any issues that arise.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics, particularly with air imports, and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with logistics software are preferred, alongside knowledge of customs regulations, trade laws, and air freight operations. Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to managing customer relationships and ensuring a high level of service. As an "at will" employee of DSV Air & Sea Inc., this position offers a starting hourly wage ranging from $22.50 to $30.50, with the actual salary depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
