The role of Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of a specific restaurant unit. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Restaurant Manager is entrusted with managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to brand standards, and driving the execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC). This position is exempt and falls under the Restaurant Field Operations department. The Restaurant Manager plays an essential role in motivating and developing the restaurant team to deliver exceptional internal and external service. They focus on creating a positive work environment that is employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe, all while fostering a culture of respect and recognition among staff. In this role, the Restaurant Manager recruits, trains, and evaluates restaurant employees, continuously monitors staffing levels to develop talent, and supports internal promotion opportunities. They ensure all team members are effectively trained on workstations and uphold labor laws. Externally, they manage activities to achieve operational excellence by providing guests with great service and high-quality food in line with Jack in the Box policies and food safety standards. The Restaurant Manager reviews operational reports, health inspections, and financial information to identify trends, implement improvements, and strategize for increased restaurant sales and profitability. This leadership position requires a hands-on manager who leads by example, maintains visibility within the restaurant, and addresses guest concerns promptly and professionally.
