The position available is that of a Dishwasher, a vital role within the food and beverage department of Azul Hospitality. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on supporting the efficient operation of all dining outlets by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The Dishwasher will be responsible for cleaning, transporting, and storing all pots, pans, silverware, glassware, and china used in the resort's food and beverage operations. Operating commercial dishwashing machines skillfully and ensuring a hygienic work environment aligned with hygiene regulations and company standards are key aspects of this position.
In this role, the Dishwasher helps ensure that all food and beverage outlets are properly stocked with clean items before shifts begin. The individual will be responsible for attending to spills and breakages promptly and following safety protocols. In addition to washing dishes, the role demands active participation in deep cleaning activities within the outlet and routine sanitation of kitchen areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, fryers, steam kettles, tables, and floors. The Dishwasher will also be tasked with handling trash disposal and reporting any maintenance or hazard issues to supervisory staff. Cooperation with the service team is essential to meet and exceed guest expectations, reflecting Azul Hospitality's strong focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.
This job requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions that include extreme kitchen temperatures and cold storage areas. Physical demands involve standing for extended periods, lifting heavy loads, and maneuvering equipment. Candidates must demonstrate good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining organization and cleanliness. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred. Safe Server Alcohol and Food certification is a plus but not mandatory.
