Additionally, the cashier is expected to receipt payments accurately in the CDK system, handle warranty payments, and assist with customer inquiries both over the phone and in person by directing calls to appropriate departments. Beyond transactional duties, the role involves organizing and managing vehicle stock documentation, including creating key tags, window tags, and folders for service and sales departments. The cashier also enters factory vehicle data into the New York State VERIFI system as required, handles service repair order filing, manages gas receipts, orders office supplies, and maintains a clean and well-stocked customer lounge to enhance the customer experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates a friendly and composed demeanor under pressure, showing professionalism with both customers and staff.
