This is a full-time position based on-site in Dallas, Oregon, offering an hourly wage of $20.00 to $23.00. The Line Cook will play a vital role in the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that every meal served to our residents meets high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a passion for food, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.\n\nIn this role, the Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The candidate will also collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to deliver efficient service during peak times and participate in menu development by contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Additionally, the Line Cook will assist in catering events, manage inventory levels by communicating ingredient needs to management, and handle all food items safely under proper food handling procedures. • On-the-job training provided
• Prior foodservice experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English communicates effectively and performs simple arithmetic
• Ability to understand measurements and conversions
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers card as well as participate in and pass a course of instruction in HACCP
• Must be at least 18 years old per the Bureau of Labor and Industry for operating the foodservice equipment required by this position
• Ability to plan and organize work to interpret instructions recipes specifications and standards
• Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment operations
• Ability to communicate with understand empathize with work with and be tolerant of residents families visitors peers supervisors and subordinates
