The Amarillo Office of Panhandle Community Services is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join their Administration Department. This position is a regular, full-time role offering an hourly wage of $18.58 and a work schedule from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Assistant plays a crucial part in supporting the organization’s HR program by performing various administrative and clerical duties that contribute to the smooth operation of human resource functions. In this role, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing data entry tasks, handling scheduling, and coordinating communication flow within the HR department. The position requires a professional who can uphold confidentiality and integrity when managing sensitive information related to personnel and organizational policies. Additionally, the assistant will support employees and program staff by providing timely responses to inquiries, assisting with research and reporting efforts, and facilitating routine HR processes such as talent acquisition and employee orientation. The Human Resources Assistant will perform critical administrative duties, including auditing and organizing HR files, preparing reports, scheduling meetings and travel, and managing internal communications. This role also entails assisting with payroll functions, liaising with external service providers, and supporting event planning for activities such as benefits enrollment, all-staff meetings, and staff recognition events. By effectively coordinating these multifaceted responsibilities, the Human Resources Assistant ensures the delivery of excellent HR services that align with PCS’s mission, values, and compliance standards.
