We are currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join our team, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17. In this vital role, the Kitchen Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for supervising all kitchen operations and staff members. The position demands overseeing kitchen workflow, inventory management, and compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership capabilities and foster a positive work environment to maximize efficiency and quality in food preparation.
The Kitchen Manager will lead and organize kitchen employees, ensuring that food orders are accurately managed while maintaining optimal stock levels through daily inventory assessments and material ordering. They will assist the General Manager by providing daily direction and development for team members, managing kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring proper food storage according to health and safety regulations. Additionally, the role requires coaching and mentoring kitchen staff, delivering performance feedback, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Effective communication skills are essential for this role, as the Kitchen Manager must liaise regularly with other managers, the General Manager, and the Director of Operations to align operational goals and address any challenges. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented leader who can maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while adhering to company quality systems and safety requirements. The Kitchen Manager role is instrumental in driving both the operational and cultural success of the kitchen team, combining hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to enhance food service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Food Safety certification
- 3+ years of demonstrated success managing employees in a kitchen or food preparation setting
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day and lift 40 lbs
