Seattle Children’s is currently seeking full-time Housekeepers to join their Environmental Services Team. This essential role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of patient exam rooms, inpatient rooms, surgery areas, utilities, and general hospital environments. Housekeepers are responsible for demonstrating proficiency in basic cleaning skills across various hospital and clinic areas, ensuring that all environments meet the hospital’s established quality standards for appearance and infection control. The role involves frequent use of chemicals and equipment in accordance with safe cleaning practices as well as infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, Housekeepers must competently handle and dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to safety regulations. Effective communication skills, including English proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding, are necessary for this role to promote safety and cooperation in the hospital setting. Available shifts include day, evening, and night schedules with alternating weekends required. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.76 to $30.33, depending on experience and qualifications.
