The role available is for a Housekeeping and Laundry Aide who holds significant responsibilities within the housekeeping department. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor, this position involves maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility by performing a wide array of housekeeping and laundry tasks. The duties include cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to established procedures and schedules. In addition to general cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces, the aide is also tasked with laundry management — collecting, laundering, folding, sorting, and properly distributing linens and residents’ personal clothing. The aide must operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and effectively, adhering strictly to infection control and isolation cleaning protocols. Using appropriate chemicals and solutions correctly is critical to maintaining a safe environment free from contaminants. The role demands a strong sense of responsibility, as aides must promptly report any needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisors and maintain organizational order of housekeeping carts and storage areas. Moreover, the position requires consistent professional conduct, timely completion of assignments, adherence to scheduled working hours, and cooperative interaction across various departments.
