The Housekeeping Assistant role at Skilled Nursing at Bonne Vie is a full-time position where the primary responsibility is maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. This position reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor and involves performing routine housekeeping tasks essential for the upkeep of patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Tasks include mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, arranging furniture, and cleaning furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to facility protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort. This position is key in supporting the overall hygiene and environment of the nursing facility, playing a critical role in the wellbeing of residents. The Housekeeping Assistant must utilize proper cleaning chemicals and equipment effectively, including floor-care equipment and supplies. Daily responsibilities involve using approved cleaning solutions, emptying trash containers, replacing liners, and disposing of trash properly. The position also includes reporting repair needs, requesting supplies, identifying safety hazards, and following safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
