The role of Housekeeping Assistant at the Skilled Nursing facility in Port Arthur is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the environment where patients receive care. This full-time position involves performing scheduled housekeeping tasks under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Assistant will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily, ensuring all surfaces meet health and safety standards. This job includes tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, and arranging furniture. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance, particularly familiarity with floor-care equipment, and the ability to use cleaning chemicals correctly.
