This full-time Housekeeper position is based in the Laurel Heights community located in Moorpark, California, offering an hourly wage range between $17.00 and $18.50. The role is fundamental to ensuring that residents live in a clean, safe, and pleasant environment, which is crucial to their comfort and well-being. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout resident apartments, common areas, and offices within the community. Tasks include sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, laundry services for both residents and community, as well as managing various cleaning schedules while complying with WellQuest Living’s guidelines and safety procedures. The Housekeeper will report directly to the Maintenance Director or the Executive Director and work closely within the team to uphold the facility’s infection control standards and resident safety measures. This role demands flexibility, physical mobility, and a compassionate attitude towards older adults, emphasizing a willingness to work some holidays and additional shifts as needed. The Housekeeper contributes not only through cleaning duties but also by supporting community marketing efforts via positive interactions with residents, families, and visitors. A good understanding of cleaning equipment, chemical handling, and infection control protocols is essential. The ideal candidate will have prior housekeeping experience, possess strong communication abilities, and demonstrate sincere compassion and concern for the physical and emotional needs of the elderly. This position requires passing a criminal record clearance, maintaining a valid First Aid certification, and undergoing health screenings to ensure fitness for the role. • Ability to speak and read English
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and oral directions
• Ability to use standard cleaning equipment including washing machine, dryer and iron
• Must be mobile and in good physical health
• Pass a criminal record clearance
• Valid First Aid card
• Ability to work flexible hours including some holidays
