The House Attendant position at Highgate Hotels is located at their La Quinta Austin Capitol / Downtown property in Austin, Texas. This hourly role primarily focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned public and guest areas to meet the hotel’s high standards. The House Attendant is responsible for a variety of tasks essential to creating a welcoming and immaculate environment for all guests. Responsibilities include buffing marble floors, shampooing carpets in public areas, cleaning and shampooing furniture, and assisting guests with luggage in a courteous and efficient manner. Additionally, the role requires handling lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures, cleaning guestrooms as necessary, assisting with emergency procedures, and ensuring all hotel equipment is maintained in proper working order and stored correctly. The House Attendant also supports special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager and plays a vital role in ensuring overall guest satisfaction. This role demands physical stamina as it involves tasks requiring occasional lifting of heavy loads and standing throughout the entire shift. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential to interact professionally with both guests and colleagues.
