Currently, OHM is seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager to join the team at the Hilton Garden Inn located in Springfield, MO. This full-time exempt position plays a crucial leadership role in maintaining the smooth daily operations of the hotel. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for addressing all hotel issues promptly, leading and mentoring staff through hiring, coaching, developmental evaluations, and disciplinary actions as assigned by the General Manager. This role includes important financial responsibilities, such as ensuring quarterly and annual revenue goals are met, and collaborating with senior leadership across multiple properties to enhance profitability and create exceptional guest experiences. Acting as the manager in the absence or unavailability of the General Manager, this position demands excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and team engagement abilities. The Assistant General Manager supports front desk operations during busy or understaffed periods, conducts regular reviews of all departments, enforces hotel credit policies, attends revenue meetings, and maintains positive relationships with local civic groups and businesses. The role requires the ability to train staff to uphold OHM and brand standards, encouraging a world-class guest service culture alongside team member recognition and engagement initiatives, all while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies. - Comprehensive firsthand hospitality experience
- Minimum 3 years hotel experience in operations
- Hospitality degree
- Exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills
- Have computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc
- Present professionally and persuasively to individuals and team members
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of all aspects of the hotel and services offered
