The role of Host/Hostess at The Bay Club Company is essential in setting the first and lasting impression on guests by warmly welcoming and efficiently seating them. This position requires a professional and friendly demeanor to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow while maintaining organization and cleanliness in the host stand and entry area. In addition to greeting guests, the Host/Hostess is responsible for escorting guests to their tables, providing menus, communicating wait times, and accommodating special seating requests. The position demands excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries, process payments, and collaborate closely with servers and management to ensure seamless service. Operating in a fast-paced restaurant environment, the Host/Hostess plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, following through on requests, and providing exceptional customer service aligned with Pete’s Promise: Service Forward, Ruthlessly Consistent, and Do the Right Thing. The job may include opening or closing duties and requires adherence to State and Local food safety standards, maintaining a safe and clean workspace. Candidates should possess State Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, along with at least one year of customer service experience, preferably in the food service industry.
