The role of Host/Hostess at Colleton River Club is a vital part of the member and guest experience. This full-time position, working Tuesday through Saturday from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm, is the first point of contact for members and guests as they arrive. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, escorting them to their assigned seating, and managing the flow of the dining area with poise and professionalism. This role demands excellent organizational skills, a cheerful and engaging demeanor, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Host/Hostess ensures that waiting times are communicated effectively, reservations are managed efficiently, and that every guest feels valued from the moment they step through the door. Beyond greeting guests, the position includes supporting the Food & Beverage team to maintain high standards of service, managing the dining room occupancy, answering phone calls, booking reservations, and the occasional task of taking or passing along initial drink orders. The role requires standing and walking for long periods, as well as physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years experience preferred in an upscale dining venue, preferably in a private club
