The Host/Hostess position at HMSHost is a vital front-of-house role responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests as they enter the restaurant. The primary responsibilities include greeting guests promptly and seating them at appropriate tables while maintaining courteous and professional conduct. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage restaurant seating charts effectively to ensure smooth service flow during peak and off-peak times. The Host/Hostess acts as the initial point of contact for guests, offering menu guidance and beverage recommendations when appropriate, which contributes significantly to a positive dining experience. Aside from guest reception and seating, the Host/Hostess may take on various supporting tasks such as ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and serving areas.
