The Host/Hostess position at Morrison Living is a full-time role located at Hoosier Village, 9875 Cherryleaf Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46268. This role is critical in providing an exceptional dining experience for residents by managing seating arrangements and responding promptly and professionally to guests' needs. The position offers a competitive pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour and includes a full set of benefits, designed for both personal and professional well-being. In this role, the Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact to welcome and seat guests, ensuring their dining experience begins smoothly and pleasantly. The job requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle customer service situations gracefully. The Host/Hostess will work collaboratively with food-service associates to maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment in the dining room and assist in a supervisory capacity to uphold service standards and safety protocols. The position also involves training new food-service team members, supervising dining room operations during closing, and participating in service tasks such as bussing and food serving while observing food handling and sanitation standards. The role demands flexibility and patience, a genuine interest in people, and a high level of discretion regarding sensitive information. Knowledge of emergency safety procedures and the ability to assist in emergency situations is essential. The position may also require operation of equipment such as fire extinguishers, beverage machines, and telephones.
